Take your child to work day!!!

Well, today was take your child to work day.  It was actually a lot of fun seeing everyone with their kids.  Not to many people were allowed to bring their kids because it's a hospital and certain areas with children in them would violate HIPAA guidlines.  Fortunately, I work in an area where we are allowed to have children in the work area.  So I got the ok from my boss, and she was allowed to come.  Unfortunately it was only for half the day.  One of my other bosses was nice enough to pick her up from school today and bring her to work with him.  I have some of the best bosses ever!!!  I'm so grateful that he did that!  And she was thrilled to come.  She said it was fun and exciteing getting picked up by someone that wasn't me or her grandma.  And on the way in, she talked his ear off the WHOLE time!  He said she never stopped talking.
So when she got there, she came and said hi, and I gave her my name badge so she could have some lunch and charge it to my account.  When she was done, we had to find someone for her to shadow because unfortunately she couldn't be with me at the grill.  Kids weren't allowed to be in food production areas.  She was so excited to be there and so eaget to help!  I wish she was that eager when it came time to clean her room!  She got to clean carts, put some supplies away, help with the dishes and wipe down tables.  She was really anxious to get to the dishes.  She had so much fun doing the dishes last time she was there, that's all she wanted to do this time.  My baby!  She's so cute!!!
Of course everyone there was in love with her!  I mean how can you not be!!  She's so bubbley and talkative and sweet!  She's polite and curteous.  I know I'm bragging here, but she's the child every parent wants!!!  I've had people compliment me so much on how well behaved she is.  I truely am the luckiest mother alive to have such a wonderful child!  I wish every day could be bring your child to work day!  We had such a fantastic day together.
After work, we went and saw my uncle who was there after having a  heart attack on saturday.  He was glad to see us.  It was good to see that he was donig pretty good.  He had the nasty chest scar and a nasty scar on his arm, but otherwise he seems to be faring good.  He looked good.  And for the first time in my life, I saw him without a beard!  I have never seen my Uncle without a full face of facial hair.  It was kinda wierd.  So I took a picture!  Had to have the proof.
Then after seeing the uncle, we went to dinner.  One of our favorite new places, Cafe Yumm.  They have this AWESOME sauce that they put on all their dishes, and it's fantastic!  Then after dinner, we went to Target to get a movie to watch at home.  We picked up Fern Gully and Avatar.  We choose Fern Gully.  I love that movie, it's so cute.  I mean, who doesn't love a story about fairies living in the rain forest?  I think next week we'll watch Avatar.
It was a very good day today.  I love being able to spend quality time with my daughter.  I love the bonding most though.  What more could a girl ask for?  A beautiful, sun-shiney day and a beautiful daughter to spend it wtih!

Happy Thursday Everyone!!  Hope everyone had as great a day as I did!
