Welcome to the holiday season!!

Yes, it's that time of year again!  Time to frantically get ready for the holidays.  Traffic, crazy people, the quest to buy the most perfect gift for those special people in your life....... ah the holidays!  How I miss when the holidays meant time with the family, playing, decorating, wrapping presents, opening presents and fantastic food!  Where did all that go wrong?  Oh yea, when I became an adult.... but I'll try to make the best out of it like I do every year.  Now is the time when I crunch to make as many gifts for as many people as I can.  The only thing is that I have no idea what to make for everyone this year.....  Last year I made snuggies, I guess this year i'll finish the snuggies that I didn't get a chance to make last year, Crocheting takes to long, so I will have to limit what I crochet.  I have some idea what I want to make for certian people, and I guess for the rest I'll just hit the stores.  I have 2 monkeys, a quilt, 4 amigurumi dolls, a sock monkey and that's what I can think of off the top of my head.  Not sure what else I'll get to make for everyone else.  So Happy Holidays, and check out my crafty blog because I'm sure I'll be updating that one more than this one.

OH, and on a different note, I have no officially lost 1 whole pants size!  It's so nice to have to rely on gravity to get my fat ass in my pants.  They go on so nicely, as a reward, I got myself some new undies!!  And cute ones to!  Nothing keeps you motivated like buying cute unmentionables!!  And I also redyed my hair black.  I really like it!  And everyone else likes it to!  I can't believe how many compliments I got on how good it looks on me.  My boss said it makes my eyes pop even more.  I'm also thinking of getting some green contacts.  I love green eyes, they're so pretty!
Well, that's it for now, Happy Monday!!!

Beautful day!

I can't beleive how nice today and yesterday turned out!! Yesterday was 70, not sure what today is.  I got the garden taken care of yesterday, filled up one whole yard debri bin.  Thankfully I have 2 of them!  I had some projects that I had to do today so I haven't been able to get out to the front and take care of the leaves, but I'm done with the inside things that I needed to do so, I'm off to do the leaves.  The leaves are so pretty, but such a pain in the neck to rake up!  That's what I hate most about fall, besides the colder weather.  It makes me sad that it's getting colder outside. :(  Rumor has it that we're going to have a wet winter as well.
Oh, and update on my room, sadly I'm still not done with it.  I've been looking for a box that has some of my stuff in it that I want to put in my room.  I can't find that stuff at the moment.  I need to look in the pantry in the garage, and hopefully it will be in there.
Well, time to go out in the yard and rake up the leaves!

Look at that mess!!!

The dresser with the tv

So, I've spent tha last couple of days working on my room.  Rearranging and what not.  Still not done.  I would have finished but a couple things got in the way.  #1, my Fruits Basket books came friday and I had to know more of the story.  The dvds are inly like the first 5 or 6 books.  And everything after that is new.  I love those books!!!  They're frigging awesome!!  I get the next set on monday and then the last of them come on friday!  I can't wait!!  Munchkin wants to read them to, so I told her that I have to screen them first make sure they're ok for her. ^.^  They are, they're for 13+.  #2, I had asked someone to work for me so I could have today of, well, needless to say, that person called in sick so I got called into work. :(  I was not happy.  But after work I went to IKEA and got myself a new bookshelf for my room and a reading lamp so I don't have to have the big light on if I'm reading at night and then get up and turn it off when I'm done.  This way I don't have to get out of bed.  I do like the way my room is starting to look.  It's starting to feel like "me".  Before it wasn't "me".  My room had no personality to it what-so-ever!!!  I hated it!!  Now my room is starting to feel like my sanctuary.  It's starting to feel comfortable.  The only thing it really needs now, is a new paint job.  But I think I will save that for this summer, or spring.  Not now.  I know this would have been the perfect time to paint it, but I wanted to hurry and get my stuff in here.  It will probablly take me 3 or 4 days to paint to.  I will have to paint it white before I can paint it the color I want.  I think maybe a nice light purple.  Something to brighten the room up.  Oh, the other thing I need to get is a lamp.  The one I'm currently using is broken.  he one in the living room is supposed to be for the bedroom, but then there would be nothing in the living room.  I want one of those spray lamps that will sit behind the couch.

the view from the door

Anywho, I hope the pictures of my messy, dreary room haven't frightened anyone.  I promise that it doesn't look like that anymore!!!

The veiw from the closet

the view from the bed

see, I told you it was a mess!  Just wait until I get it completely done!  It's going to look so much better!!  It already looks better.  At this point, I don't want to leave my room!  I'm enjoying being in my room so much, I don't want to leave it.  Even my kitty, Lola, loves being in here!!!  Well, back to work.  I need to clear off my bed so I can go to bed, lol.

I did it!!

I did it!!  I did it!!  I finally got up before 5am!!!!  Sadly I dind't have a chance to go for that bike ride, got up at 4:45 am instead of 4:30 am.  But the important thing is that I'm up.  My vitamin cocktail is srtarting to kick in!  YAY!!!  Yes, I'm tired, but not so tired that I can't stay awake.  I have to work again tomrrow, so I'm trying again.  Lets see if I can get up at 4:30 am this time.  I think I might set my clock a few more minutes earlier just because I hit the snooze alarm twice and stayed in bed an extra 15 min.  It's kinda nice, I actually have time to eat something now.  So the question is, what do I want to eat for breakfast, probablly just some cereal.  I took my shower last night so I'm ready for work, just need to get my uniform on (and no, I'm not typing this in my birthday suit, I'm in my jammies still).  And last night before bed, I put my sports bra on so I wouldn't have to change in the morning, it's kinda comfy to sleep in.  I'll do the same thing tonight.  Sleep in my sports bra.  It was kinda cool outstide this morning so I'll need to wear a sweater.  Sadly I don't have any white ones, but I do have a pink one, so I will wear that one.  It's dark, I want to make sure people see me.  Oh, and last night at school, I took the stairs again, but this time I addede 2 more flights.  I couldn't find any parking on the second so I parked on the 3rd.  Yea my legs burned pretty bad and I was extremely out of breath, but I did it without having to stop!  I even have to carry an extra book around that adds like 10 lbs to my bag, I should really weigh that thing just so I can see exactly how much I'm lugging around.  Maybe when I get home.
I'm so happy that my vitamins are kicking in!!! :D  So tomorrow, out of bed at 4:30 am and on that bike!

So, on a different note, I watched Glee yesterday morning!  YAY GLEE!!!  It was so nice to see a little it more of Brittany, not spears, but cherrio Brittany.  She was awesome!  I was also sad that Emma is not dating Will, but John Stamos is still kinda hot, and he can sing, so I can't wait to see where they go with that one.  I actually felt sorry for Will and thought he was kind of pathetic in that episode.  But the music was hillarious!!  It was fun watching them dance and sing some Brittany Spears.  I kinda hope the do some other Brittany songs later on.  Oh Tuesday, why do you have to take so long to get here??  It's a good thing that I have school, work, homework and crafting to keep my occupied til then.  I don't know how I'd wait if I didn't!
Oh, I also can't wait to see how Artie being on the football team is going to work.  It was aweful nice of the coach to allow it.  So, does anyone else think the coach was a man with an unsuccesful sex change operation??  I wonder if she can sing?  I love when the new season starts, but I hate it to because I have to wait for all my favorite shows to air.
So this year, I will be watching, American Dad, Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, The Simpsons, Stargate Universe (I kinda like it, still a little iffy on it), V, Fringe, Haven (awesome new X-Files like show), possibly Eureka, and of course Glee.  Ok, I should refrase that first sentence, these are the shows that I am going to try and fit into my schedule to watch.  But if I have to pick just a few to stick with, I would pick, Glee (duh), Fringe, and Haven.  The others I will have to catch later if I can't catch them now.  So with that, It's time to eat a quick bite, and then off to work.  The sound of the BF snoring is AWEFUL!!!!  It sounds like he's choking on his tongue.......

So happy Thursday everyone!!  Wish my luck on my test tonight! :D

So.....much......homwork......

So, I just got a butt load of homework, and for those wondering, a butt load is a lot.  Think of the biggest butt you've ever seen, yea that's how much homework I have for this week.  JUST THIS WEEK!!!  How am I going to get anything else done??  In my one book, Language of Medecine (LOM), each chapter is like 12 hours of reading.  I can barely stay awake long enough to finish a paragraph, how the heck am I going to stay awake to read 12 hours of reading??  The math I'm not so stressed out about, it's the reading.  Plus I have to memorize my 10 drugs for the week, write out my prescriptions, I have a worksheet to do, DAMN, I'm not going to have time for anything!!!  I seriously need to take some time off work so I can get some of this other stuff done so I don't feel so overwhelmed with everything.
Fiday, one of my supervisors, who is has a huge heart, suggested I take a leave of absence to get better.  I've been under a lot of stress lately.  Thinking back on it, that could be why I've been so tired and so reluctant to get up and get out of bed.  I have to make an apointment with my Dr soon, so I will talk to her about it.  My supervisor suggested that I take an intermitent loa, which I think would be a fantastic idea.  An intermitent LOA is good for 6 months, versus a regular LOA which is just 3 straight months.  I'm going to have to talk to them about the intermitent part and find out what exactly it entails.  They want to knowt he exact days I need off, but that's the thing, I don't know.  Oh, and she suggested that because I've been late 3 times in the last month, dead tired all the time, fall asleep on my breaks and just plain ol' worn down.  I've had at least 3 call ins this year alone, and compared to the last few years, that's a drastic change.  The last couple of years I haven't called in at all.  I think it would be a good idea, I was told if I do that, then if I call in sick or I'm late, it won't count against me.  Note to self: Call and make Dr appt.
So I think that pretty much covers it, Oh, wait, no.  I've just realized that I've been pretty bad about keeping up on reporting on my "dieting".  Well, since my mom has been here, I haven't been doing all that well.  Today was the worst day.  We had buffet for dinner and, well, I overate.  I'm still feeling full and bloated.  It kinda feels like it wants to come back up.  Hopefully we won't do any more buffet dinners while she's here.  I need to get back into doing good mode.  I'm hoping to get up early, like I'm always hoping to do, and go for a bike ride since it was nice today and really warm!  If I get up early, it will hopefully give me some energy before work to.  So, wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed that I get up and go on that bike ride!!

So with that, I hope everyone had a fantastic monday, and Good night!!

OH, tomorrow night is Glee!!!  I can't wait!!  Will have to watch it on hulu wedensday morning after Munchkin goes to school!!  YAY!! GLEE!!!

Semi-deep thoughts with Mitchel-san

I've been thinking a lot lately about, you know, stuff.  And I've realized that I don't actually feel like an adult.  I still feel like that awkward, little, high school girl.  The only difference is that now, I have a kid, and obviously not in high school.  It's even worse when I get around certain people, for example, parents, my BF, my bosses at work, teachers at school, grandparents, certain friends, wow, pretty much looks like everybody.  So, how exactly do you stop feeling like that awkward high school kid?
This is a picture when I was 15/16.  I don't feel any older than I am in this picture:
Sometimes I think I would like to act like an adult, then I look at adults and realize that I REALLY don't want to be like that at all.  Adults really kind of suck.  I mean, sure, there are perks to being an adult, but I think there are more downers than upers.  Who knows, maybe I'm just feeling this way because I'm uber stressed and have to much on my plate at the moment.  Or maybe I feel this way because I feel trapped in a relationship that's going nowhere and weighing me down with a man who trys to control me and tells me I need him to take care of me.  Because without him my life would be in shambles......  Either way, something needs to change, and hopefully within the next couple of months, things will be changing.  I think the first thing that needs to change is my relationship status.  From invovled to single.  I'll just have to wait and see I guess, and while I wait, try to feel a little more like a grown up too.

Class 2 done!

I'm so happy!!  I got an A in my first Pharmacy Technician class!!!  I'm so happy!  I figured I was getting nothing more than a B.  That is, after all what I averaged on my tests.  I didn't know that all our labs were going to be graded as well.  I got perfect scores on all our labs.  And the final was worth 100 points and I got 100 points on that as well.  YAY!!!  The teacher was VERY impressed with how I handled her call.  She was trying to be funny.  She had called in a prescription for Viagra and I happened to be the one who answered the phone.  She tried so hard to make me laugh, everyone else in the room was rolling and in tears they were laughing so hard.  But I kept my cool.  She said my voice didn't crack at all!  There were a couple of times where I had to stop and take a deep breath to stop myself from laughing.  But she said I did great!  That made me feel good.  I tried really hard to be profesional and take is somewhat serious.  That was part of our grade to.  It looks like I did a good job at it to. :)  I'm glad this class is over with and we're moving on to the next class.
I guess the next one is going to be pretty hard.  We're learning about the heart.  Hopefully I have still retained my knowledge from when I took Anatomy & Physiology when I was going to school for massage.  Well, better get off to bed.  Don't get to sleep in very long tomorrow, and I have lots of reading to do this weekend!
So night all, & enjoy this randome picture :D
Fruity oaty bars!!!  Who loves Firefly/Serenity!

It's official!

I can't help myself!  I just love the show so much!!  Who doesn't love a good musical.  I love all the characters, I'm still trying to figure out my top favs though.  I know one is definately Brittany.  She's so hillarious!  I hope they explore her character more this season.
I've been watching season 1 and I mean, how can you NOT be happy after watching it?  Sure it has it's "You stupid B!@&^!!  I hate you!" moments, but what good show doesn't?  I can't wait to get to the Madonna episode!  I think that was one of my favorites so far.  The Lady Gaga episode was good to.  And of courst Bryan Ryan!!  Oh man, I loved em all! I absolutely L-O-V-E LOVE the music!  I have decided to buy it from iTunes so I can have it on my iPod all the time!

I was so so so so excited when I got to watch the season 2 premiere!  I love the 2 new additions, but I liked Sunshine better than Sam.  I can't wait to hear more from her.  So far it looks like this season is going to be really good!!!  Is it tuesday yet???  No, I better get to bed so I can sleep utnil tuesday and watch Glee!!!  YAY GLEE!!!!   How I missed you over the summer!
YAY!!  Glee is back!!

Good news!!

Woohoo!!  I weighed myself today!  And it was good news!!  I don't remember when I last weighed myself, I know it's been about a month, maybe less.  I was up at oma & opa's and actually remembered to use their scale.  )It goes higher than mine.)  At first, it looked like I had gained like 20 lbs, but I was reading it off the reflection in the stove while trying to hide it from my mother.  I don't exactly want her to see the number.  She knows it's a lot and that's all she needs to know.  So I waited for her to leave the kitchen and wieghed myself again.  I was shocked when I saw the number!  I almost squeeled with joy!  Just to double check that maybe I had been standing on the scale wrong, I weighed myself again.  It was the same both times.  I have lost 9 lbs since the last time I weighed myself!  So exciting!!  I didn't really think that I had lost anything because I can't feel it in my clothes yet.  But that's good, I know I'm on the right track with what I'm doing!  It makes me so happy!!  I think what makes it the best is that I'm doing this all by myself!  No help from anyone!  I mean besides the moral support.  No one has forced me into this, or is paying for me to be on a diet plan, I'm doing it all on my own, and all for me!  I'm so happy that it's working!  I think what's really helping is that I'm starting off slow.  Even though it wasn't my original plan, I feel better knowing that I'm being succesful without trying super duper hard.  This means that as I continue it will only get easier.  I think another fantastic part of it is that I haven't cut out ANYTHING!!  I still eat my chocolate, chips, pizza, etc.  The only difference is now instead of eating a whole bunch of chocolate, I have a moderate portion.  Same thing with pizza and chips.  Before I could eat a whole large pizza by myself, then I could eat a whole medium, now I can still eat half a medium, but I'm working on eating less.  I definatley think my stomach has shrunk.  I can't eat a whole ton of stuff anymore, and I'm glad.  I'm not sure why it's shrunk, but I'm just thankful it has.
Ok, so now on to some other stuff.  I finally made it to costco today & got my vitamins.  So, right now, I am going to be taking in the morning, my multivitamin, 2 glucosamine, 2 omega 3 gelcaps, and my 2 focus factor.  Then during another meal, I will be taking 2 omega 3 gelcaps and 2 more focus factor.  One thing I have learned is that you have to eat your vitamins with food.  So I will be taking the larger packet with breakfast, and the other one either at lunch or dinner.  I haven't decided yet.  I also got my organic green tea.  To help boost my metabolism, I have to drink 3 cups of organic green tea a day.  I just have to remember to have one at breakfast, one at lunch and one with dinner, or before I leave for work.  Green  tea is one of those ones that I can do without sugar, so if I need it to be sweeter, I can add some honey to it.  I'm hoping that once the vitamins start kicking in I'll have more energy and be able to get up at 4:30 in the morning and go for that walk or something.  The bonus thing is that since it will be dark, I can run if I want to.  I know I can't run very well, but it would be dark, so it's ok :)
So I guess that's my update for now  I'm just so excited, 9 lbs!!  I don't think I've ever done that without being sick.  Now that I know what I'm doing is working, I can start being a little more intentional with it.  Well, not really intentional, becasue I've been making and effort from the begginig, that's the word.  I can start making more of an effort.  I have this awesome little journal I got at micheal's for $1 that I can use as a journal to keep track of everything.  Also, I've decided not to look at this as a diet, but as a lifestyle change becasue that's exactly what it is.  I'm not dieting, I'm making a lifestyle change.  Makes it sound better to. :)
Well, I'm tired so I'm going to take this oppertunity to go to bed early, well, maybe watch something on hulu while I lay in bed. :)

Night!

:)

Looks like might end up being a decent saturday.  The sun is out, the rain is holding off (for now).  My mom is here and I get to spend all day with her :)  Ok, well most of it anyway.  I have homework to do, so I need to work that in there.  I need to study my flash card and what not.  Have some fake prescriptions to write for our labs this week, and I need to finish my script to labels.  It sounds like a lot, but it's not really.    I also need to work on my packages for my swap partners.  I've started both, have 1 item finished for each, but I need to do a few more, and finish the main item I'm sending.  With school and mom here, it's kinda hard, but that's ok.  I should be able to work everything in there.
Last night at school was pretty good, I got an 87% on my test! :D  Pretty happy about that.  I'm still amazed that I'm donig so well in school.  I've never really done this well.  Hopefully as the course goes on, I'll do better and get better at it.  But I'm not gonna complain, I'll take a B any day!
Today, mom and I are going to run some errands after the Kids Turn class.  The touch screen on my phone isn't working anymore so we need to go and have Verizon look at it, need to go to Costco to get some goodies.  I'm finally going to get myself thos Iron pills. I was an hour late to work yesterday because I just couldn't wake up!  So frustrating.  Then I looked at the backside of my eyelids to see the color, and they're awfully pale!  You want them to be kind of on the pinker side, but mine were pretty damn close to flesh tone.  That's an indication thay you're low on Iron.  I'm also going to get some other vitamis so I can make my own vitamin cocktail!  Woohoo!!  Well, time to go, mom is back from getting her coffee and I need to eat something before we leave to kids turn.  There's a parade this morning in beaverton so part of the roads are closed so I want to get there a little early so we have time to find the place or I can walk to it.
Happy Satruday everyone!!

Another catch-up post

Ok, so I haven't been very good lately, but I haven't been really bad either.  I finally finished that last little bit of candy we had in the house (it really wasn't that much and I spread it out over a week).  I have been trying to make an effort to eat smaller portions.  I do pretty good at work, but home is a whole other story.  The BF makes huge portions, but I try not to eat it all.  I've also been adding veggies to my dinners.  Dinner usually consists of rice, some kind of meat and veggies.
I have also been making an effort to be more active.  I'm working harder on getting my homework done a little faster, and I've been parking closer to the stairs at work and at school.  Right now taking the 4 flights of sitars is my limit, I can't do more than that, so I park as close to the second floor as possible.  It's really hard with my backpack on.  I get pretty out of breath and am breathing pretty hard by the time I reach my car, but I know as long as I stay with it I will acclimate at it won't be so hard for me.  I'm also trying even harder to ride my bike more.  Ii have yet to be successful at getting up at 4:30 to go for those walks, but I still set the alarm and I still am working on it.  It's so hard to get up after only like 4 hours of sleep.
Plus, I think I know why I've been so tired.  I've cut out red meat,  so I'm not getting the iron I was.  I'm hoping that getting some iron supplements will help, I'm also going to get some vitamin D supplements because without vitamin D, your body can't absorb the vitamins and minerals.  Apparently Vitamin D is like some kind of binding agent.  I know Iron binds oxygen to  your blood so your blood can carry it throughout your body.  So I figure that's why I'm so tired, by body isn't getting enough vitamins and not enough oxygen.  Friday is payday, so hopefully I will be able to go to Costco and get what I need.  I'm going to try and do a little research and see if there are some other supplements that would be worth it.  Then the problem comes with trying to remember to take the pills.  Hopefully It won't be a problem.  Will have to make myself little packets to carry around so I can take them at work.

School is still doing good.  I'm pretty sure I'm getting a B in the class.  I need to work a little harder to be doing better.  That B just isn't good enough.  But I guess the B allows me to spend time with my daughter, an A really wouldn't.  So if I look at it that way, a B is good enough.  I started earlier on memorizing my 10 drugs for the week.  Since next week is the last week for the class we're going to be tested on all 30 drugs that we've learned so far.  I've noticed that saying them out loud helps me memorize better than just saying them in my head.
Well, that's about it, not much else to report for the few days I went AFK (away from keyboard).  The important thing is that I'm still making an effort to loose weight.  I haven't tackled it full on, but I'm getting there.  I need to be trying harder be loosing weight though.  Scratch that, I NEED to be doing it.  If I don't get my weight under control, I'm going to end up with all kinds of health problems the older I get.  My back is already starting to hurt at work, so there's indication # 1 that I need to get crackin ASAP!  Plus we just got new shirts at work and mine don't fit me.  They kind of do, but when you get to the lower half, it doesn't fit, it's too tight.  And I know people at work are thinking "just loose some weight".  It's harder for some than for others.  Sadly it's harder for me.  I don't have a whole lot of willpower to say no to food.  Don't know why, but that's just the way it is.  I'm getting better at it, I don't gorge myself when we do buffets anymore, I no longer leave a buffet feeling sick, bloated and like my stomach is going to explode.  Plus, I'm working on drinking more water and I'm trying to drink more green tea as well.  I've noticed that when I drink a hot liquid with my meal, I fill up faster, so I'm going to try and add (preferably) green tea to my daily diet.  Need to find some organic green tea first though.

So with that, I am off to do my homework.  Happy Wednesday everyone!

What was my problem today!!

I honestly don't know.  I didn't have it in me to do ANYTHING today.  I relaxed a little this morning, got some hair made for Alexis's doll and watched a little tv.  Then I started in on my homework.  I got 2 chapters read, did 1 of the reviews, and couldn't get through the last chapter.  Maybe becasue it was so long, I don't know.  Bur for whatever reason, I just could not concentrate!  I would read, and wouldn't remember anything I had read and would have to re-read it.  I still couldn't retain what I had just read!  It was very frustrating, so I stopped and ate some lunch, thinking maybe that would help me focus.  Nope, it sure as hell didn't.  I tried to read that last chapter and I still could not focus on it.  So I had to stop.  It's very frustrating when you can't focus on your homework.  I'll hopefully be able to focus a little better tomorrow so I can study for my test.  I'm going in at 6:30 to study with a couple of the girls in my class so hopefully that will help.

Other than not being able to focus, today wasn't to bad.  Got Alexis off to school ok.  Made her scrambled eggs with turkey bacon and cheese.  She liked it.  Forgot to send her to school with a snack though :(  shame on me!  I didn't eat too much today.  I had a big bowl of Honey Kix cereal with some pumpkin flax seed cereal, banana and some srawberries.  It was good.  For lunch I had the last 2 Johnsonville Turkey & Cheese franks with the new flat buns.  They were hamburget buns.  But it was good, also had some of the sour cream & onion potato chips.  Dinner was another bowl of the same cereal.  Munchkin had been picked up for Karate class so there was no reason to cook dinner for just me.  I also had some candy today :(  A couple of the mini milky way bars and a couple reese's peanut butter cups, forzen of course.  Didn't get much exercise but I did take the stairs again at school! :)  Both up & down.  I may only be making a small effort to change things, but at least it's some kind of effort, right?

So, I guess that's all for today, and if there's any thoughts on why I couldn't focus today, I would love to hear them!

Happy Thursday everyone!

What a Wednsday!!

Well, not really, it was just a normal ordinary day. I did start off pretty lazy though. I was glad to be able to get my daughter off to school though, I made her french toast for breakfast, I also had 2 peices, mine had home made blackberry syrup on it, yummy! I sent her off to school with a snack for when she got hungry. Once she was safely on the bus I headed to do my homework, well, I kinda didn't do my homeowrk. I was busy playing on Facebook, and falling asleep at the computer. I'm not very good at this motivational thing am I..... I also updated my Blogs a little bit then I had to head up to Oma & Opa's to give Oma her bath. I'm getting pretty good at it and it's going faster. I know they would have liked for me to stay a little longer, but I needed to get back home and REALLY work on my homework. So I came straight home, and what did I do....... you guessed it, not my homework. Played on freaking Facebook some more, and surfed the Craftster web forms a little too. But I only did that for about 30 mins, then I started in on my homework.

I got my script to labels that were due yesterday done, thankfully!  I had totally forgotten about them over the weekend.  A mistake I won't make again, I assure you!  But I got them turned in today.  Today was a good day at school though.  Participated lots!  Tried to answer questions I didn't know, answered some corectly to. :)  Tomorrow it going to be a full day of school work.  The only thing I have to do really, is go to the bank for oma.

As for that diet thing I'm trying to do, well I did ok today.  I even took the stairs in the parking garage at school.  Ok, it's only because I found a parking spot close to the stairs instead of one that was by the elevator.  It was 4 flights of stairs, but they're the small ones, so I guess you could consider it 2, I was parked on the 2nd floor.  But I took them with my book bag which has to weigh an extra 30 lbs with those books in it.  I was proud of myself for not being lazy and finding one closer to the elevator.  I did have a few pieces of candy :(  Shame on me!  I had a milkyway at school, a resse's and a small snack milky way this morning.  Lunch I didn't do to bad.  I had a sandwhich with whole grain bread, and organic on top of that :)  It was turkey, but the processed stuff, I can't afford the good stuff.  I also had some Ruffles sour cream & onion chips and some water.  But I only had a small bowl.  They were left over from camping, I won't buy more once their gone.  I also ate an apple as a snack after breakfast.  Dinner wasn't too bad.  We had BBQ pork chops, small amount of rice and some steamed veggies with butter and cheese on them.  I steamed some broccoli & zucchini.  Munchkin likes broccoli with cheese, so I don't  mind making it that way for her.  Then I already confessed to the milkyway at school, and once I got home, I was kinda hungry so I had a granola bar.  Now I just need to plan what I'm going to make for breakfast tomorrow for Munchkin.  Eggs are her favorite, so maybe I will make her a turkey bacon omelette.  I think she'd like that, I hope anway.  Something different for her, and it will hopefully hold her until lunch.  Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it should be the biggest.  But with dinner being the only meal that Jeff eats, sometimes big dinners are hard to avoid, but I'm working on it.  Going to cut back on the meat and do more veggies.

Now that I'm all nice and sleepy, it's time for bed.  Don't want to not get up in the morning.  Munchkin gets upset when I don't get up to get her off to school, and then I spend the whole day being angry and irritated at myself for being to lazy to get up!

So good night, and happy hump-day!! :)

Catch-up post

So it's been a couple days, time to update!  Didn't have time on Monday after camping due to Munchkin coming home, and unpacking and being tired and all that jazz.  Had to study after work yesterday for my quiz on last weeks 10 drugs, got 8/10!  Missed because of spelling errors.  YAY me!!  Imagine what I could be getting if I was actually applying myself more!  I could be getting an A, working on it.

My nephew took this picture.

OK, so the weekend was great.  Went camping with my older brother.  We went to Jones Creek which is only about an hour from the house here.  It was cool, but not to bad.  It could have been worse, we could have gotten rained on all weekend long!  I had to take my homework with me to study.  The kids played.  Steve was helping a friend of his bow hunt for elk.  Steve got his last week and we had some of it camping, OMG, it was so yummy!!!  Of course a lot of the food I ate over the weekend was crappy food.  I tried to be good and get decent food and not just totally crap-food.  I didn't do to bad.  I tried not to eat to much while I was there either.  I didn't do to bad.

So when I got there, I said hi, got parked and started to unload.  Then it was time to set up my sleeping area.  It was very cozy!  Well, for the most part.  The first night, my air mattress lost all it's air because the cover fell of the hole, and I was using tape to try to keep the air in, and well, yea, that didn't work out so well.  So Sunday, I had to drive ALL the way back to Forest Grove to the new Wal-mart there, and got myself a new air mattress for $20.  Not a bad price!  Of course, got some other goodies while I was there, didn't need any of them, but they sounded good at the time!  Thankfully Forest Grove is only about 1/2 an hour away from where we were camping.  I opted not to go to Tillamook, I wasn't 100% positive that Fred Meyer's would have what I was looking for since they had clearanced all their camping equipment.  So I figured since Forest Grove had Wal-mart & Fred Meyer, I would go there instead.  So once I got my stuff and was loading it in my car, I was looking at the deflated air mattress with my blankets and pillows, and realized that if anyone had a camera near by, I could end up on "People of Wal-mart"!  I didn't want that, but I still had to laugh at the thought!  So here is where I slept!  The back of the Explorer.  It was nice in there, but next time I will definitely have to take 2 sleeping bags, one to sleep on so I don't get cold from the cold air in the mattress, and one to cover up with so I don't get cold from the cold air inside the Explorer.  Other than being cold, it was a pretty nice set up.  I had my snacks, books, my portable DVD player to watch movies while in bed.  Yup, that's roughing it! :D

Needless to say, her mom wasn't too happy about this, but it came off and was so funny!!
I guess for the most part, camping was uneventful, relaxing & kinda quiet.  There were a total of 6 kids there.  My 3 nephews and the friend of Steve's 3 daughters.  Her kids ranged from 18 mos to 7 years.  The 7 year old showed the other kids that you can paint your face with the charcoal from the fire pit, so yea..... that was pretty good!

We walked down to the creek and went looking for crawdads, Steve caught 3 with a fishing pole.  Caught them with the line, 2 he hooked and one grabbed the lure.

Hook, Line & Sinker!

Someone's having crawdads for dinner!!

Of course crawdads weren't the only critters we saw down at the creek.  We saw fish, didn't catch any because they were to small to catch, and this little froggy!  He was cute and so tiny!  Don't let the picture fool you, he was about the size of a thumbnail.

Steve gave all the kids quad rides, after his naps of course!  They would get up at like the butt-crack of dawn to try to find some elk.  Sadly, no luck......

Jaime's brother and cousin were there as well, and they decided to play survival in the woods.  When I got there on Saturday (everyone else had gotten there Friday), the boys had made a shelter.  My nephew took some pictures of it.  Luckily because I forgot to.  Sadly we got the pictures taken after they had taken the hypothermia blankets off and put the branches and stuff back on.  Once their friend got there they went off into the woods to camp for the night.
The crawdads that Steve caught were actually supposed to be their dinner, their whole idea was to eat what they caught, but they didn't go very far from camp so when they got hungry, they just walked back to camp.  Yup, that's survivalism, lol!  They stayed pretty warm in there and on Sunday morning, they woke up to a deer smelling around their heads.  That would have been pretty neat to wake up to!

Monday came way to fast, and yet not fast enough lol!  Couldn't wait to get home and shower!  3 days without one is, well, that's camping!  So we were packing up and I had a left over jug of water that I didn't want to take home with me, so I was going to put the rest of in the washer fluid compartment since the truck was pretty dusty.  And what do I find under my hood when I open it.........

Aren't they friggin cute!!!!!
MICE!!!  3 little mice had made a nest under the hood of my car.  I'm not sure if they did it Saturday when I got there or if they did on Sunday when I got back.  I guess it was nice and warm under there.  I'm still trying to figure out how they got up in there.  It's not like the Explorer is close to the ground.  But they were so cute!  Little gray and white meeces!!  I kinda wanted to take them home and put them in a cage and keep them, but the cats would probably have eaten them.  Still, what a thing to find under there!  Thankfully, they didn't chew through anything, They scattered shortly after taking the picture.

I will post more later tonight when I get home from school.  I'll give an update on my "diet" and school.  So until then, Happy Wednesday!!

3 day weekend!! Woohoo!!

YAY!  3 days off from work and school!!  Well sorta from school.  I have to study and learn 10 drugs and read some chapters before tuesday.  But otherwise YAY!!!!!
Today was an absolutely wasted day.  I got up around 9:30, and did NOTHING!!!  I couldn't believe how damn lazy I was today.  I didn't even study.  If I did nothing else I should have at least studied like I was supposed to.  But nooooo, what did I do today?  I played those damn facebook games.  What was I thinking??  It's not like there's that much to do in those damn games!  But for whatever reason, that's what I did.  I could have gone grocery shopping for my camping trip this weekend, I could have packed the truck, got my stuff together, but nope, I sat around on my big fat ass, doing nothing.  I finally ate around 12:30.  Had a bowl of cereal, the shredded mini wheats.  Lunch wasn't all that great for me either.  I'm running low on my Yumm sauce and was kinda craving something with some protien in it.  So what did I have??  Corndogs and french fries.  I coulnd't eat all the fries so I guess that's good.  I do think my stomach is getting smaller though.  Normally I would have been able to eat the whole portion of fries and my corndog and still wanted more.  So I guess that's a good sign.  I left a little early for school today to get some dinner.  I had Mexicali Express.  It was so yummy!!  I had 2 burrito supremas, which aren't actually that big.  I was pretty hungry when I got there, by the time I had finished the last one, I was stuffed.  Normally what I would have eaten was, 2 of the burritos, some fries, a small soft taco and a soda.  So I guess that's another good sign.  Sadly I'm not ready to start my diet on Tuesday.  I still have no idea what I'm gonig to eat or how I'm going to get exercise in.  But I told myself that's what I would do, and damn-it, that's what I'm going to do.  The thing that's going to suck for the Munchkin is that now she's going to have to eat the stuff I eat.  No more catering to just what she likes.  She's going to have to eat the stuff that I like more often than not now.  She does like a lot of the stuff that I like, but it's hard to get her to eat any of it.

On a lighter note, school was pretty good today.  I did pretty good on my test.  Not as good as I would have liked, but better than I expected.  I got 87/100, so it's at least a B!  The other little mini test we had I got 15/15.  I got all the math and the abreviations right.  After the test we got to practice counting pills again.  I didn't do so well this time.  Not really sure why, but that's ok, I still have 3 more weeks of practice to get better at it.  This weekend I need to memarize my list of 10 drugs for the week, I have to know them by tuesday, that's 4 days to work on them, I should be able to do it.

So with that I wish everyone a safe and happy Labor day weekend!!

YAY hump-day!!

Today was a much needed day off.  I managed to drag my butt out of bed before 9, which is always nice :)  Anything later than 9 and I feel like I've slept the day away.  I remember when getting up by noon was early lol.  Got most of my homework read today to.  That was nice and a relief as well.  Just have half a chapter left and I'll be done wtih the reading for the week.  I've noticed that I'm remembering things from the reading.  I even managed to answer some of the questions she threw out there at us today! :D  A lot of her lecture, if not all of it, is taken directly from the books.  Which is good to know.  I'm glad that I can actually remember and retain some of that knowledge to.  I'm feeling good about the test this friday, nervous, but good.  I also got my first look at the computer prescription system today to.  Yesterday we practiced counting pills, and today we got to put it fake prescriptions.  It's a little confusing at first, but I'll get the hang of it.

On a different note, I didn't get any exercise in today.  Spent all day doing homework and making blackberry syrup.  Ate quite a bit to, which I'm a little disapointed in myself for.  I should have drank more water or some hot tea.  That would have helped.  I wasn't hungry, but I'm still working on retraining my body to know the difference between hungry and thirsty.  That's gonna take a while.  But at least I didn't eat total crap today.  I had a small bit of rice, barley, spinach and Yumm sauce for breakfast.  Than a little later I had a bowl of shredded mini wheats.  After that I waited a little while, had a granola bar, then a german meat sandwich, then before school I had a BLS (spinach), could have cut back on the mayo to.  And at school, I had a piece of candy and another granola bar.  Ate a bit more than usual today, but I'm working on that.

So now if I want to get my lazy ass out of bed at 4:30 and go for a walk to wake me up, I better get to bed.  4 1/2 hours just doesn't cut it for sleep, but I'll try.

So happy hump-day everyone!!

Tired.

Well, sadly, I dind't get up at 4:30 this morning like I was shooting for.  I heard the alarm go off, looked at the clock, hit the snooze and fell back to sleep.  I'm not sure why I didn't get up.  Sure I was tired.  5 hours of sleep really isn't that much.  But I set a goal, and didn't follow through with it.  Myabe I didn't because I'm just so used to getting up last minute,  I will continue to work on it and every night before bed, I will have to remind myslef to get up when the alarm goes off and to not hit the snooze button.  Or I'll just have to set the alarm for earlier.  A little disapointed in myself here, but I'm going to work on it.

As for what I ate today, I find I do better if I eat before I start work, even if it's just a small snacky thing.  I had one of those sweet 'n' salty granola bar things.  Next time I get groceries, I'm going to check out the odwalla bars.  I hear they're pretty good.  I did resist the muffin temptation at work to.  :)  Then breakfast, I had some mini shredded wheats with a small amount of egg.  I would guess it was 1 egg with a little vegies in it.  It had  a little sausage in it to.  When my lunch break cam around, I had a scoop of eggs with some pico de gallo while I started my homework.  On my last break I had a peice of flat bread with 2 slices of melted cheese on them (swiss & cheddar) and a cup of stormy weather chowder.  Which is basically a cream based soup with vegies.  Before school tonight, I will heat up some barley and maybe a turkey burger patter and jasmine rice with some spinach mixed in there and put some Yumm sauce over it.  Going to try to make it a small bowl this time.  Usually when I make them, they end up being huge.  Which reminds me!  I need to squeeze the lemons I got so I can put it in my water.  I learned that one of the best ways to shrink your stomach is to add lemon juice to your water.  I guess the citrus in it will help to shrink your stomach.  I'll have to do that tomorrow after my walk or bike ride.  I haven't decided which one I'll do yet.

So now it's time for me to get to my homework.  I have 3 hours before I have to leave and I need to get as much done as possible.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!!

New Class!!

Well the new class started today, and boy am I going to be busy!  It seems a little overwhelming right now, but once I adjust to this homework load, I'll be fine.  I'll actually find time to do other stuff.  I have one project that I have to work on and send out by September 24th.  Then I will have another project that will have to be sent out October 10th.  Thankfully I didn't sign myself up for to may swaps.

But today was definately interesting as far as class goes.  I didn't have everything done which turns out was ok.  We did some of it in class and we get to work on through out the week to.  Now I have more homework to do, but thankfully I have wed. off so I will be able to do most of it then.   I've got quite a bit due tomorrow to.  And I'll only have from 3 to 6 to work on it.  Will try to work on it on my luch break at work, but we'll see how many people sit with me and see if I can get any of it done.

Otherwise today wasn't that bad of a day.  Work went good.  I resisted the temptation of our tastey pastries. YAY me!!  I had s little bit of eggs a bannana and some shreded wheat minis for breakfast.  Then I had a little more eggs with parmasean cheese and a little bit of fresh salsa.  On my last break, I had a philly warp with spinach, onions, peppers, chicken, swiss cheese and light pesto mayo in a flour tortilla.  I didn't drink enough water so I'm going to have to work on that tomorrow.  I actually ate a lot today.  I had a german sandwhich at home, with Leiberkaesse, tomatoes and mustard.  I used one of those new thin hamburger buns so I didn't have as much bread.  Still working on cutting that out.  I also had a bowl of rice with barely and some Yumm sauce in it.  So yea, I kinda ate a lot today.  I had some little fruit snacks at school.  Was proud of myself for not getting the chocolate. :)

So, now it's time for bed so I can get up at 4:30 am and go for a walk before I get ready for work.  I'm going to try really hard to get up at that time to.  I would ride my bike, but it's going to be dark and I don't have any lights on my bike.

That's going to be my goal.  Waking up at 4 :30 am to go for a walk or run (when I get there).

So good night, and Happy Monday!!!!

Blackberries!!!

Posting a little early today because not much left to do.  Today for eating I did ok.  I had a BST (substituting spinach for lettuce) for breakfast, then didn't really have lunch 'casue breakfast was kinda late.  I went up to my grandparents house and picked 3 gallon buckets of blackberries! YUMMY!  After picking blackberries I gave my grandma her bath, then she gave Munchkin $20 so we could go have sushi!  Another YUMMY!!  So we had a late lunch early dinner of Sushi.  It was good.
When we got home we got the blackberry stuff ready only to discover that we had no sugar.  So off to the store it was.  We rode our bikes since it's just right around the corner and my bike has a basket on it.  Threw the sugar in the basket and rode back home.  Got the blackberries going then went for a 1/2 hour bike ride.  My legs felt like jelly afterwards.  But it was worth it.
Soon Munchkin's daddy will pick her up for the last week of summer then I'll start in on my homework again.  Hopefully finish it.  Since I don't have to go to my grandparents tomorrow I can work on my homework more tomorrow after work.  Didn't get much done last night because I fell asleep while reading.  That's pretty much it for today, not very eventful, but a good day.  A perfect day for picking blackberries becasue it wasn't to hot.  The rest will hopefully be ready in 2 weeks and I can make more blackberry syrup!  I'm going to see if my mom will ship some of it to my little brother since he likes it a lot to.  I can't afford to send it otherwise I would.  Or I may just keep it all for myself.  Now the house smells like blackberries! :)

Happy Sunday everyone!!! <3

Uneventful Saturday

Didn't get a chance to post last night.  Let my daughter play a game while I did my homework.  Yesterday went ok.  Ate a  granola bar in th morning, didn't really eat anything else until later, which I know is bad.  Had a big dinner, again, I know this is bad.  It was jasmine rice, spinach, onions, cabbage, cilantro, parsely and a little tomato and a turkey burger patty.  It was good.  I have this sauce from a local restaraunt that is so yummy!!  The name of the place is Cafe Yumm, and the sauce is Yumm Sauce.  I'm not sure what it is, but damn it's good!  After dinner, munchkin and I went for a bike ride.  That was fun.  We just rode around the block.  She only needed to stop a couple of times this time.
We did go to Fred Meyer's and get a couple bike locks so we can ride to the store if we need something.  She's all gung-ho to go to the store by herself and get a couple groceries.  I told her not until she's older.  We also bought some souveneirs to send with our little visitor Miles.   He got sent back home yesterday.  Munchkin was sad to see him go, but she was happy that she got to say bye to him.  I about had a heart attack when we go to the post office and saw how much it was.  It was $52 to send him!!  But that's international shipping for you.
Well, time to start my Sunday.  Gonna go see what there is for breakfast.

Happy Sunday all!

What a day!

After my speil last night, I did my best to watch what I ate today.  I think I did pretty good.  I had a granola bar on my way to wrok this morning, I had some shredded wheat mini's for breakfast at work, the for a light lunch I had a little bit of Tomoato salad and potato sals that I made the other day.  It was good.  The when I got home, I had me a yummy turkey BLT.  That was super yummy!! Oh, and some veggie chips to go with it.  Then as a snack at school, I had another granola bar.  I did have 2 cookies today, but I'm trying and not having officialy started a diet, I think I did good today.  I had lots of water to.  I was tempted to have a little bit of soda, but I passed.  Had to remind myself of the pledge I mad last night.
And speaking of school, tonight was the last night of my Profesional Development class.  It's sad that I won't be in a class with those 8 people anymore, but I'm super exited to start my Pharm Tech classes on monday!  I have a little bit of homework to do this weekend but not much.  I also got my grade tonight.  I got a 96% which is an A!!  I'm so happy!  I can't believe I got an A!  Now I just have to keep that up and continue to get As.  I'm gonig to have to study A LOT harder.  One of the things that really helped though to, was the fact that we have a test once a week, and there is no acumulitive test at the end of the 4 weeks.
And now, with all my books, my back pack feels like it weighs about 80 lbs!  Thankfully I don't have to take all my books to class with me every day!
That's all for tonight.  Night everyone and Happy Friday!!

A wieghed decision

After looking through some of my pictures from the summer, I noticed that I was hardly in any of them.  I know exactly why.  It's because I don't want to stare at pictures of how fat I have let myself become.  It's sad really.  And I know you're probably saying, "you're being to hard on yourself".  The way I see it, is I haven't been hard enough!  I am the heaviest now than I have ever been.  And I'm sick and tired of it.  When I see a picture of myself I see a watermelon for a body, and a lemon for a head.  Nothing fits me right because my stomach is so big and my boobs are so small!  I can't see my feet, they hurt at the end of the day, I'm starting to have lower back pain and other health issues.  I lost 80 lbs once before so I know I can do it again.  I just need to get myself motivated and make some serious life-style changes.  It doesn't help that I have a boyfriend who is just as unmotivated and lazier than I am.  Has no job, hardly does anything around the house, goes to school one day a week and does nothing but plays video games all day long until the wee hours of the morning.  Not really conducive with trying to get motivated enough to go on a diet or do some exercising.

So I have decided that starting next week, I will make a diet & exercise plan.  I will use this blog to help keep me going and motivated.  I have to stop making excuses and thinking of reasons why I should do this later.  Going to school isn't a good enough reason to not work on being healthy.  So in my daily schedule, I will find time to exercise, whether that be riding my bike, doing laps, walking, whatever!  I will start exercising and cooking my own healthy meals.  I have taken the first step and cut out red meat, and been cutting back on my portion sizes.

Part of my motivation is my grandmother.  Every Monday I give her a bath because she is incapable of doing it herself.  She is 5'4" and about 260 lbs.  She can barely walk, she can't brush her own hair, she can't get herself dressed, she can't get in or out of bed without help, she can't stand up without help and she can't use the bathroom alone.  I don't want to end up like her.  I don't want to have to rely on my child or someone else to bathe me because I'm to fat to do it.  I don't want to have a heart attack in a few years and have to have a bypass.  I have had blood work done and my results were good.  My cholesterol is 149, so I'm ok there.

So again, next week I will sit down and make a plan.  I will post my plan here and I will blog about it every night.  No more excuses, no more putting it off.  I have to do something.  When I lost the 80 lbs I felt pretty damn good.  I looked good.  My old clothes fell off of me and I was able to buy new smaller clothes from the regular department stores.  I didn't have to go the fat lady stores.  I could buy a large, and fit into it.  If I keep going the way I am now, I'm going to be wearing mu mus for the rest of my life.  I'm not going to be the crazy cat lady in the mu mus.

So, as of September 7th I will start blogging about the struggles of my diet.  I will post pictures to help keep myself motivated.  I will do weekly weigh-ins.  I will have to use my grandma's scale, because my scale doesn't go that high.  It's actually embarrassing how big I have gotten, and even though I try to blame other people, I have no one to blame but myself.  I let myself get this obese, I let myself go, no one else.  And it's my responsibility to change it.

So between work, school, taking care of my daughter, and taking care of my grandparents I will add diet and exercise in there.  I will buy healthy foods, I will eat small meals, I will eat healthy snacks, I will get up early and go for a walk before I go to work, I won't let myself end up like my grandmother and I won't let myself become one of those people who lets themselves get so fat, they need a chair to get around.
All these years of beating myself up and putting myself down are going to end.  I'm going to build myself up and slim down!  I'm not going to care what people I don't know think.  I'm not going to let that stop me from taking a walk or riding my bike around the neighborhood.  I am not going to worry about what strangers think of the fat girl out for a run.  This is my motivation, myself.  I'm not going to do this for anyone but myself.  Everyone else will just have to deal with the benefit of my actions.

So here is the latest picture of me.  It's when we went to Disneyland and I think it shows me in all my glorious discusting-ness.  I have cankles, I have a huge, haning fat roll that almost hits my thighs.  I have a nasty, double-chin, my elbow have rolls, I have back rolls, my butt is like a shelf, my wrists are the size of ankles, even my feet are fat and swollen.

It's hard to see, but I am just absolutely disgusted by myself in this picture.  I have been hiding from cameras for to long.  Not wanting to have my picture taken because I didn't want to have to look at myself in them.  I probably weigh more than my mom and brother combined.  I weigh as much as 2 people and bitching and feeling sorry for myself isn't going to get me anywhere.

I will have an action plan written up by Friday of next week.  That's 7 days for me to figure everything out, plan out the days, the meals, and the activities.  I see lots of people loosing weight, and it's my turn to do it again.

Thanks for listening to my rant and my promise.  Words of encouragement will always be welcomed!

My first Poppet!!

I did it!  I finally made my very first poppet!!  She looks pretty good to.  With some practice I'll get better, but for my first I'm happy with her.  I have decided to giver her to my daughter as a welcome home present.  I got one in the mail a few weeks ago, and she said she wanted one.  So now she will have one!  I have some fun  fabric that I will use to make her some clothes and I have a box i bought last year that I was gonna use to put another doll that I was going to make for her.  Now I think it will be perfect for the pretty poppet I made.  I can't wait to post pics of her!  I need to get a new card reader first though.  Mine has finally died.  Cheap piece of crap!
I gave the doll blue eyes, and will give her brown hair like my daughter has.  She's pretty big, about 18" or so.
She was a learning experience to, I can't wait to make more now that I know how easy they are to make, and how fast they whip up to.  So many different kinds that you can make to!  If anyone is interested the original forum that they are in can be found here: Poppet and Punkin Forum

Here's the picture of her, she still needs hair though.

Happy Thursday everyone!!

Tonight's lecture

Wow!  What an informative night tonight's lecture was.  A lot of info about our cover letter and resumes.  Everyone is stressing about the resume part because no one really has a whole lot of experience writting them.  I'm stressed but confident that I will do good on my resume.  I'm not tired, which I'm a little bummed about because I wanted to get up before 9 in the morning.  Hopefully I'll get tired soon.  But there was a lot of information to process in class so I think that's why I'm not so tired.
Tomorrow I will have an early night at school because we have summer celebration and I'm going to go from 4-7 so I'll be home at a reasonable hour tomorrow.  Early to bed tomorrow!  I'm stoked!!  Now isn't that a sign that you're getting old??  When you're excited for an early bed time?  Man I sure hope not!  Hopefully I'll get my resume and what not done fairly eary tomorrow, so I can go shopping and find myself a nice outfit for mock interview.  I knew there was a reason I wanted to go to the good will today.  But anyway, I'm going to go to learn2type.com and see what my WPM is so I can accutately put that on my resume.  Ok, I'll paly with it tonight, then do it again tomorow when I'm refreshed and awake!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

School

So far school is going great!  I'm getting an A in perssonal development so far.  Still a week and a half left of it.  This week is all about the cover letter and resume.  I'm nervous about this one, I've never really done a resume before, but I'll do my best at it!
I have to admit, that I'm a little disapointed in this class.  I was expecting it to be much harder than it is.  Our teacher is great and I love having her, I just wish there was a little bit more of a challenge in this class.  I was hoping to be better prepared for my Pharmacy tech homework load.  I found out that we will have 2 tests a week, a quiz on mondays and the test on fridays.  Thankfully we won't have a test over the 4 weeks of information.  That's a HUGE releif for me.  I've above what I've expected so far, I've got 100% in professional developement now.  I just need to work my @$$ off to make sure I get that in the rest of the classes.  I want to make sure that I get the best possible grade I can get.  Getting that 4.0 GPA is going to be hard, but as long as I work harder at this than any other schooling I know I can do it.  That's the key  here, I have to beleive I can do it!  And I know I can do it, so I will do it!!  Of course, a little encouragement and prayer from friends and family won't hurt either.  Which reminds me, I better start taking my focus factor, looks like I need to take 4 tablets a day.  I'm going to need a bigger bottle!! lol

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Starting School!!

So I have officially started school again.  I candefinately ell it's going to be a challenge.  And that I most definately need to brush up on my math.  The first day was, obviously, the easiest.  Day 2, not so bad either.  Got our first batch of homework, and it was a lot of homework to boot.  Well, a lot for someone who hasn't been in school for over 6 years.  I think the biggest challenge is going to be sleep.  On days that I work the morning shift I need to try to get a 20 min nap in there.  And hopefully, I'll be able to sleep later that night.  Thursday will be the first day I'm able to try that.  I hope.  I have to go and give Oma a bath after work, and hopefully get my homework done before school that night.  From what I understand, when I start the Pharm Tech classes, the home work is going to be a lot more.  But that's ok.  I'll just have to learn to juggle and manage my time better.
The thing that really sucks about all this is it doesn't look like I'm going to have time for any stress-relieving activity.  No crochet, no sewing, no beading, nothing.  But it's only for 9 months, and the last month is an externship so I don't t hink I'm going to have any homework then.  I just need to make sure that I can take the whole month off and just do the externship.  I don't think it should be to hard, I mean it's in April.  People don't really take time off in April.
Well, enough procrastinating and wasting time.  I need to get cracking on my homework.  Wish me luck everyone!

What a summer!

WOW!  What a summer it's been so far!  A road trip down 101 to LA, then a boat to Catalina Island, the to Disneyland and SeaWorld, then back up 101 from LA to Portland!  So much fun.  The only thing that sucked about the vacation was the lack of relaxation time.  But it was all still worth it.  We had so much fun!
Driving down 101 was a first, and boy was it looong!!  We started at 7am the drove to Lincoln City.  We drove a total of 13 hours that first day.  Made it all the way to the Red Wood forest and camped at one of the campsites.  I couldn't beleive how expensive it was.  It was $35 a night!  That's half the cost of a hotel.  But we took it anyway, we were tired and wanted to relax and eat.  It was worth it.  Plus, it was meant to be.  They'd had a last minute cancelation, so we were pretty damn lucky to get the campsite.  If they had been full, I don't know where we would have camped.
The drive was so beautiful!  I'm so glad we made it.  I've never really been that far south along the Oregon coast.  I think we're definately going to have to do it again.  Now that we have a better idea of what to expect.  I would definately like to take more time driving as well.  There is so much to see and so many touristy things to do along the way.  There were quite a few we wanted to do, but by the time we had gotten there, the place was closed.  We really wanted to go through the Trees of Mystery and do their cable car ride that takes you through the tops of them, but maybe some other time.
I'm not sure what our favorite stop was.  Everything was so gorgeous.  Sadly we didn't stop to watch the sunset anywhere.  But that's ok. We saw it on the way back home.
The second day was just as exciting.  We didn't make as many stops, but we saw lots of pretty scenery.  Most of northern California wasn't along the coast.  But the forrest was still fun.  We got to drive throuh the redwood forest.  Not through one of the trees, but a side road that veered off 101.  That was fun!  Some of the trees came right up to the edge of the road so that if you got to close you'd hit one.  And I couldn't beleive how huge there were!  I've never seen that many trees that large!
I think the neatest thing on the second day, was the San Fransisco bridge.  The only thing that sucked was the toll both, but it was worth it.  We kind of got lost in San Fransisco to.  That was neat.  Went through downtown, at least I think it was.  I wanted to see more, but it was late so we GPS'd it back to the highway.  That's when we cut over to I-5 and made it all the way to Uncle's house.  It was like 1 am by the time we got there.  But they were expecting us so they left the door open.  It was nice to sleep in a bed.  Next time we camp in the back of the explorer, we're taking an air matress.  It will be much more comfy then.
All in all, it was a good learning experience and it was loads of fun.  I definately want to do it again.  But next time, I want to take more time, and do more camping, and take the time to be able to see all the fun neat things along 101

I'll have to add some pictures later, once I upload them onto my computer.

Busy week!!

It's been a very busy week.  I haven't had much time to do anything!  With work, helping my grandparents out and projects that need to get finished before I leave on vacation, there's been no time for blogging!  I hope to get some pictures uploaded soon to my various online social networks and here. :)  I guess it's a good think it decided to rain today, hopefully going to go and visist my grandman today :)

Little Visitors arrived today!!

My little Visitor arrived today!!  His name is Miles, and he's from the UK.

He said it was quite a long trip, and he was glad to be here out of the post.  He wanted to go outside and play and stretch, but sadly, Oregon decided to live up to it's reputation.  So, it rained!  And it rained good today!

So glad Oregon could live up to it's reputaion.

He really looks like he wants to go play on the swings!

He'll get to play lots this weekend when we go camping for Memorial day weekend down at Sand Lake.
Miles wasn't here for very long when he already made some new friends.  Steve and Aang were happy to greet him and make him feel welcome.  Miles shared some of his Shrimp and Nannas candy with them.  He even shared some wtih Lola!  Looks like it worked, because she welcomed him right away!  She's such a good girl!  The other fur babies were being a little on the shy side, but they'll open up to him.  It just takes them a little longer.

Tomorrow, Miles will got to work with me, and meet everyone there!

Hope everyone had a great Thursday!!!
